Fall at Ashford Stud/Coolmore America (home of Triple Crown winners, American Pharoah and Justify) just 8 minutes up the road from Charred Oaks Inn.

Tuesday was the first day of Fall. It has certainly felt like autumn lately: chilly mornings, shorter days and longer nights, heavy dew on the morning grass, birds flocking up to begin the trek south, Monarch butterflies beginning to make their way towards Central America and the appearance of everything pumpkin or apple.

The Summer of 2020 is officially over. As the days grow shorter and we get the mix of warmer and cooler days before the advent of winter, the leaves began to “do their thing” – turning from various shades of green to brilliant shades of orange, red and yellow providing a glorious landscape to get lost in here in the Greater Lexington, Kentucky area.
