Today is the day before Christmas and here in the Greater Lexington, Kentucky area, we have beautiful blue skies and temps in the lower 40's making it the perfect day to do some last minute Christmas shopping. So Richard and I have joined the merry mayhem and have been out picking up a gift card here and there at some of our favorite restaurants; dropping in at our favorite shops to check out some good deals; and lastly, we stopped off at a couple of neighborhood distilleries to fulfill requests from friends for their favorite bourbons. Today is #MapleSyrupDay and what's not to celebrate? This delicious and fabulously yummy amber liquid is made from sap from maple trees.
