CELEBRATING MAPLE SYRUP DAY AT CHARRED OAKS INN ...

Today is #MapleSyrupDay and what's not to celebrate?

This delicious and fabulously yummy amber liquid is made from sap from maple trees.

Canada is the largest maple producer in the world, but in the United States, Vermont is the biggest producer in the country, producing 1.9 million gallons of maple syrup this year. It's followed by New York, which yielded more than 800,000 gallons this year. Maine was third with more than 530,000 gallons. It takes 10 gallons of sap to make one quart of syrup.

At Charred Oaks Inn, breakfast is a made-to-order affair with a menu changing daily. The menu always includes a sweet option as well as a savory one. These sweet options most always offer a chance to enjoy maple syrup.

They range from specialty pancakes like Bourbon Hoecakes or Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes to Bananas Foster and Blueberry-stuffed French Toast or individual Apple Pie Bread Puddings - all served with a choice of bacon or apple chicken sausages and a side of eggs if desired. Breakfast is served daily from 8:00AM -10:00AM in the Dining Room or in bed. We also offer mini brunch items for girlfriend getaways, bridal showers, etc. which include a serving of French Toast points and maple syrup for dipping (pictured above).

if you like a full breakfast and like to be spoiled, Charred Oaks Inn is the perfect getaway for you!, Charred Oaks Inn is a Select Registry bed and breakfast property, located just 12 miles west of Downtown Lexington, Kentucky.
