" These cupcakes! Amazing! I am delighted we had two." ~ J. B. from Tennessee

Charred Oaks Inn, a bespoke Lexington, Kentucky Bed and Breakfast, is situated along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail in the middle of Horse Country.

The inn is open year round and is a safe home-away-from-home getaway. COI has only four large, quiet and spacious guest accommodations: a full two room suite (Room 3) with its own sitting room with fireplace located on the second floor; two Junior Suites: the Garden View Suite (Room1) on the first floor and the Fireplace Suite (Room 2) on the second floor and a Premium Guestroom (Room 4) on the second floor as well. The rooms all sport king size four-poster beds, separate sitting areas, Smart TVs, stocked mini fridges, Nespresso coffee makers, electric tea pots, are uniquely decorated, and have their own private bathrooms en suite (most with custom glass tub/shower combos). Amenities include free WiFi, personal size toiletries, plush robes, hot and cold beverages 24/7, barware upon request, iron/ironing board, alarm clock with USB port, and personalized concierge service.

A made-to-order breakfast, served 8:00AM until 10:00AM daily unless otherwise requested, is included and the menu changes daily to take advantage of seasonal, regional offerings. Also included are afternoon refreshments served from 3:00PM until 7:00PM. These refreshments are a choice of an Afternoon Tea Basket for Two or a French Picnic Basket for Two and include the house's signature desserts. The desserts range from Lemon Bars to Kentucky Blackberry Cake to Race Day Pie and the house specialty: Lane Cupcakes. These dark chocolate cupcakes have a smidgeon of bourbon baked in and are topped with buttercream frosting wrapped around a center of pecan and coconut goodness and crowned with a Maraschino cherry!

Charred Oaks Inn is a little over an hour's drive from Cincinnati, OH and Louisville, KY; two plus hours from Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH; and three hours and a bit from Nashville and Knoxville, TN; and Charleston, WV.
