CHARRED OAKS INN CELEBRATES #NATIONAL PIE DAY!
Today is #National Pie Day - the unofficial holiday celebrating one of our very favorite desserts - a baked dish, usually made out of pastry dough and stuffed with a sweet or savory filling - known as pie!
Every evening at our Versailles/Lexington, Kentucky B&B we serve a homemade dessert.
Tonight's sweet treat is Mixed Berry Pie - blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries meld together for a mouthful of yummy goodness. To accompany dessert you will find Espresso, various coffees, teas and other libations in our 1950's wet bar located in the Inn's living room.
Charred Oaks Inn is open year round and offers inviting and romantic accommodations close by the downtowns of Lexington, Frankfort, Midway and Versailles; Keeneland, Old Friends Farm, American Pharoah/Ashford Stud at Coolmore America, Taylor Made, and Win Star and distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail like Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Castle & Key and Four Roses. Uber is available for anyone wishing to celebrate and enjoy a fun evening at any number of fine dining establishments in the area like Heirloom, Malone's, Holly Hill Inn, The Merrick Inn, AZUR, Guiseppe's, Cole's on Main or Tony's of Lexington.
The fireplace is lit, the mantle lamps are glowing, the pie is warm and the whip cream is sweet and fluffy. Don't you wish you were here?
