TONIGHT'S DESSERT AT CHARRED OAKS INN CELEBRATES #nationalcherrypieday

Today might be #nationalcherrypieday but do we really need a reason to eat one of America's favorite pies?! Other top favorites include apple, banana cream, chocolate, pumpkin and pecan. However, in the month of February, cherry rules. This preference dates back to George Washington and his famous "I cannot tell a lie" quote in regards to chopping down a cherry tree and since we celebrate both George Washington's birthday and President's Day in February, baking a cherry pie has become a tradition.

Charred Oaks Inn's own tradition is to serve a homemade dessert each evening. Some of the guests' favorites have included: chocolate orange torte, Race Day pie, French orange cake, lemon bars, apple pie bread pudding with a salted caramel bourbon sauce, Woodford pudding cake with fresh blackberries, chocolate covered strawberry brownies and banana bourbon crisps.

Located minutes away from downtown Lexington, Kentucky, Charred Oaks Inn, a Select Registry bed and breakfast, is open year round and offers casually elegant accommodations in their four spacious and spread out guest suites. If you're looking for a home-away-from-home base to check out all the stops on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail or you're in town to check out Thoroughbred horses, innkeepers Pamela and Richard, will not only spoil and pamper you, but they will make sure you experience all that Central Kentucky has to offer!

Call or text 513-739-6156 to chat or check out availabiity on the inn's secure website at https://www.charredoaksinn.com
