CHARRED OAKS INN B&B, LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, ENJOYS A THANKSGIVING TRADITION!

Fireplace Season at Charred Oaks Inn, a Select Registry B&B, on the western side of Lexington, Kentucky, is all about taking a step back and unwinding before the craziness of the holiday season gets into full swing. Four large guest suites, each uniquely decorated with original artwork, king sized, four poster beds, private en suite bathrooms, Smart TVs, coffee makers, and everything you need for that restful getaway. In the afternoon, there is complimentary sips and nibbles in front of the fireplace in the main living room and each evening, a homemade dessert magically appears that can be paired with dessert wines, Bourbon Cream or Espresso. Charred Oaks Inn is known for their made-to-order breakfasts and it can be enjoyed in the Inn's beautifully decorated dining room or in bed.

And if you are looking for things to do in between, there are beautiful horses to meet, bourbons and wines to sample, historic sites to explore and fine dining to experience. Pamela and Richard, Owners/Innkeepers, are experienced concierges and love assisting Charred Oaks Inn guests in planning their stay.

One of their favorite traditions is the Annual Blessing of the Hounds at Shaker Village on the banks of the Kentucky River on the Saturday following Thanksgiving (this year November 24, 2018). The event is sponsored by the Iroquois Hunt Club of Lexington, Kentucky, established in 1880 and named in honor of the first American horse to win an English Derby. The event runs from 9:00AM - 11:00AM and Shaker Village is about an half hour's drive from Charred Oaks Inn.
